The First Changing

I awoke to a the sounds of beeping and deep breathing. I had no idea where I was. I sat up in my bed and waited until I could see clearly again. Once I was seeing clearly, I looked down to see I was in a young maidens body. I must have been in Nara’s era. She comes from a time where the year is 2007, in my time it’s 1296. The last time I was awake there was a full moon, but where was I now? How did I get to Nara’s era? I should be in a human form, with black long thick hair, yet I wasn’t. I had thin blond hair in a room filled with these beeping objects. I should have changed back to my halfbreed self, half human half dog. Why was I a girl? I was suppose to be a boy. I have to get out of here, I thought to myself. I had no one to ask what happened. I pulled all these weird string connected to my body off, and put on a pair of clothes I saw lying around on the floor of the room. I ran out of the room and saw a board that said the name Hatsu, that must of been me, well not exactly. On my way out I came upon a man wearing odd clothes and I asked him, ”How long has Hatsu been here?”

“She’s been in here for three days. Why, do you want to know?” The doctor replied.

“No reason just wondering.” I answered.

Once I was out on the streets and in the sunlight I started changing back. “Oh no!” I whispered to myself “Not now in the middle of the day. I can’t let anyone see me. I know I’ll find Nara’s house.” I knew she lived somewhere with a large tree in the front yard and a shrine. Finally I came upon a house that looked like the one, so I ran up the side of the house and looked inside to see if it was the same. I was right it was Nara’s house, therefore I opened the window to her room and snuck in. “Ahhhhhh! What are you doing in here, and who are you?” Nara yelled.

“It’s me Seiji. Look somehow instead of changing to my human form on the full moon. I woke up in something called a hospital in your time era. When I woke up I was in a girl’s body, and when I went outside I started changing back to my normal self,” I replied.

“Let me finish packing and then we can go back.” Nara told me. “Mom dad I’m going back with Seiji back to his time era. I’ll be back in about three months.”

“Okay, but first eat a meal before you leave!” Nara’s mom yelled.

“Tell, how bad do I look right now,” I asked

“Well, you have the hair, the legs, and hands of a girl. Everything else has changed back even your clothes.” Nara answered.

“My fire-robe kimono is back. I thought it was gone.” I said, while remembering of the time my mother gave it to me before she and my dad died. “Come on let’s go eat.”
