Don't Speak

Don't Speak

A Poem by Im His Daughter

I'm gonna just command,
that if you're hurting,
because of stuff going on in your life,
that my name isn't spoken,
through the toxic breath you expell.
Leave my name out of your personal issues.
Period.
I mind my business,
I stay in my own lane,
in my own home.
If you have nothing nice to say,
as my mother taught me,
keep your mouth shut.
Wise words from a wise woman,
I love.

Wise words your mother taught you. She is of course right, why waste any words at all on those who don't deserve them. Words are far too precious to be wasted. You got your point across beautifully.
