Ding Ding Ding

I'm in a fight that I didn't choose to be in.
I need back up,
because I don't see myself as strong.
I'm not a fighter,
I'm a lover.
I'm also a daughter,
a mother,
a sister,
a gamma
and friend.
I'm tossed into the ring
and expected to win.
I know I can't do that without God,
my mom,
my kids,
my friends
& my grandchildren.
If you are for me, I want you in my corner.
I want you on all sides of me,
my front,
my sides,
my back.
If you can't, then I want you to be gone.
I'm fighting a fight, that I didn't choose to be in.
I may be a woman,
but,
I'm fighting like a girl!

Author's Note

At 2:10 April 14th 2021, I found out I had endometrial adenocarcinoma. I may have a full or partial hysterectomy or a different procedure done. I will know soon. Pray for me my friends. I love you all.

dearest Poet, Mother, and all your identities... Just want you to know that in 2007 I had a total hysterectomy and also had Breast cancer... I am still surviving so far... with Prayers and Miracles.
