A Poem by Kelly Lynch

Once upon a winter’s eve

Wandered here a man of class

Who came upon a maiden fair

With her heart upon her sleeve

She made this man a melted mass

As summer came the pair grew fond

Their boundless love their hearts did sing

Eyes glistened merrily in the sun

No thought behind the heads of blond

Of what the future soon would bring

For as all summers turn to fall

The sun must set to rest its face

Alas, time came for her to go

To him, that’s it, he lost it all

Twilight soon became his place

Nothing else he’d want to know

But her and her angelic face

He lives for hope of her return

Promise he has yet to show

Keeping company with memories of the place

Consumed by the past he wastes away

As good as dead but wouldn’t dare

To leave his lover’s earthly life

He hides and never sees the day

Still in love with a maiden fair

this is so wonderful ,great romance ,great love i see here ,i liked the way you connected this to summer leading to fall, where as all the leaves in the tree dies and earth look sad and dead,so their love did fade and she was gone away just like the sun of autumn died away and came to set and rest,he still had hopes of seeing her of seeing that angelic face he wanted to tell her things ,he thinks he is not finished all memories of places of a lost life waisted he wants to bring like he was dead and she was alive, still he wants to live some more, and love some more,i just loved this writing, you are talented my friend, that i assure you,you tell of some wonderful images, wonderful dreams, some wonderful love, lost in the autumn, but he is still looking for it,just wonderful really
