Grandmother Moon

Grandmother Moon

A Poem by Trikea
"

Constructive Critics Please! Just a random poem I wrote for school when I was 12 yrs. old.

"

The gray dreary clouds have parted

And we can see the night sky once again!

Over the meadow, it’s right there! Can you see it?

It’s right above the glen!

Mother Moon’s glorious shine has been watching over us for a many millennia.

Her friendly face is reflected in the pond!

Just count all the freckles!

Go and meet her before she is gone!

Up in the night sky

She slowly glides-

Slowly, but surely-

With a friendly twinkling star beside!

Her pale complexion is no match with any other!

She’s Earth’s sister and our great-grandmother!

Moon is like our friend, she’ll always be there!

So tell her all your troubles when you’re in despair.

well concieved theme. you make an effort at a regular rhyme scheme buy pay no attention to meter
Meter is the essential difference between poetry and prose it makes your words flow smoothly read aloud
Keep writing but do read up on meter and its uses
