Grownup

Grownup

A Poem by Inda

Grownup

I grew up; I know I’m just as surprised!

For so long I wore this disguise;

I am not a fool,

But am I a tool?

Laughing at the boss’s bland jokes,

pretending to believe he pokes

the secretary and the new girl too.

I’ve grown old,

numb and cold.

-nothing else I could do.

It does get easier to become oneself as the years pass by...there can also comes some cold days with that..but we can be calm-- for the sun still shines!
