In Miami

In Miami

A Poem by Inda

The cement is imported,
the palm trees too.
The "sunshine" gives you cancer
and the cuban coffee is strong.
Here the ocean is green, not blue.

Alcohol is cheap;
cheaper than a kiss.
There's poverty on the streets
and it rains,
but that's a secret we keep.
