The Sun.

The Sun.

A Poem by Secondhand Tink
"

I really don't have any idea what this is to be quite honest in some ways it relates to something a friend of mine wrote (Everything Happens For A Reason) but in other ways it's genuinely random and relating to someone/something rather different.

"

I asked you what will we do today,
You stare into the sun,
Your mind so far away from me,
You leave me high and dry again,
I ask myself where do I go now?
Where do I go when you leave me again?
To the sun...
To the sun?

I walk away without a trace,
You won't notice me when I'm gone,
You didn't see when I was there,
I'll let the sun pull me in,
Let it's ray fall over me to understand the captivation,
Captivation, or just not wanting to look to me,
To see what you did was wrong?

I was the butterfly in your jam jar,
The flower wilting in your vase.

So when my petals fall,
When my wings droop,
You give me some water,
And then you leave me high and dry again.

I wonder if it was your fault,
Who covered your eyes to my quiet beauty?
Who blocked your senses to my...
Touch, Smell, Voice.

You stay silent,
Voiceless.
But sometimes you open your quiet lips,

The sounds you make so beautiful,
Changing over the years,
Making me wish I could have heard them everyday.
But instead you leave me here to waste away...
