Theory of LoveA Poem by TaylorX"He had discovered Time and Death and God." -Aldous Huxley
It wasn't healthly, it couldn't be,
The way her knees trembled, How her insides collapse into a finite Singularity, compressed and havoc Personified, every time he was around. She was convinced that he was Lucifer, A demon, evil, wrapped in a halo and Surrounded by golden light. He was a Storm and she was the town, wrecked And tossed and torn so much that she Still finds pieces of her lying around, To this very day. She tried writing poems, lymerics and Ballads, odes to his mouth, trying to Put his complexity into words, but it Was like trying to take a galaxy and Condense it down into a simple planet, Like trying to describe God, taking the Universe And turning it into one single idea. She tells him that he is a supernova that Acts like a blackhole, that he is a never Ending sea, constantly lapping at the shore That is her heart. She almost goes insane, Trying to name him. A cluster of moons, A flame that cannot be put out, even when Covered with gallons and gallons and gallons Of water. She wants him to understand that He is a hypothesis she cannot prove, a Theory that defies Gravity, sends Suns off Their center of balance, casts planets into Elliptical orbits. In simple words, he is galvanic and He is love encompassed into one being, And in his eyes she finds Time and Death And God. He is a scientific mystery, an undiscovered Star, a dying species that mankind will never Discover. But, most importantly, he is Inevitably and undeniably, Hers. © 2015 TaylorXAuthor's Note
