A Poem by inkstainedsoul

his touch burnt like acid
but was addictive as drugs
his smile was so placid
yet i would die for his hugs
the sun shone in his eyes
and the moon in his heart
but he wove a web of lies
in which i wanted no part
his soul glowed with a rage
enough to cause fit
i was trapped in his cage
scared of the next hit
yet when the stars were aligned
he could be so very kind
and so i was resigned
to wait for his mind

B
The battle of good and evil
We all have it

But we want perfection from our love

Truth is
no one is entirely good or bad
We are a mix
And only the wise can control the bad and bring out the good

Loved it
Very nicely done

Very nice use of words.
"his touch burnt like acid
but was addictive as drugs
his smile was so placid
yet i would die for his hugs"
I liked the powerful want and need in the words. The poem loaded with emotion and the description was perfect. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
