Death

Death

A Poem by inkstainedsoul

a thief that creeps,
in the night.
a stubborn soul,
puts up a fight.
black as coal,
dark as hate.
she's a time keeper,
whose never late.
so treasure each moment,
as it lasts.
for as you know,
time flies past.

"she's a time keeper,
whose never late" - a brilliant phrase
I thought the last two lines were surplus to requirement as the sentiment is alluded to previously -
"for as you know,
time flies past."

I wonder if it's black as coal or dark as night.
Someone always says "Move toward the light".
Someone else always says "They're in a better place".
