A Poem by MCS
"

"They who sing through the summer must dance in the winter." ~ Italian proverb

"

Blanket of fresh snow

Drapes over the trees

Winters beauty takes one’s breath

Jack frost dipped his brush

In shades of white

Morning sun graces the scene

Stillness a blessing

Snow’s hush welcomed

A break from the chaos

So beautifully written! I have big windows. Snow on the evergreens is my favorite Winter feel-good sight :)
Love your "stillness" and "hush." They capture the feeling so well.

Dylan, thank you my friend for those kind words; it means a lot.
A stunning write and so relatable today as a brief snowfall blessed parts of North Carolina. Since it is rare here, it’s a cause of excitement rather than dread. I really love this poem!
