I hope it hasn't truly gotten that bad, but sometimes it can certainly feel that way. It's not even the obvious stuff that bothers me most, it's the quiet stuff that goes unnoticed that frequently concerns me. They're both insidious in their own way though, it's not like I would want to be having to choose which one I'd prefer over the other.
It probably shouldn't amaze me anymore, but I frequently find myself standing back and thinking, but the right thing is so obvious. Your quote at the top is very fitting. There is no point where something can be logical enough, common sense enough, or obvious enough for anyone who chooses to to see it or acknowledge it. Some of them are just evil, they know what they're doing and do it anyway. I think others convince themselves that it's not really all that bad or that they are somehow justified in their actions. Yet another example of I'd rather not pick which one is really worse.
That's probably enough word vomit from me. You clearly got me thinking over here with your very well done write.
