Colorful

Colorful

A Poem by insanity
"

A world without colors is no world at all

"

Your blank expression

Those grey eyes

Steel and sullen

Full of lies

Waiting to be cried

Holding on

In a fortress deep inside

Hoping for the sun

To break through
And paint the colors in you

Like a book unwritten

The colors slowly faded

Though you were smitten

You were slowly jaded

By he, of who we do not speak

And then I came along

To make your future less bleak

To give you a brand new song

To sing the notes left unsung

To ring the bells left unrung

Welcome to the world

We’re glad to have you here

Forever you’ll be my girl

When the colors stay near

My paintbrush is still wet

But keep your eyes open

I’m not done painting yet

I’ll tell you when

My masterpiece is done

With the rising of the sun
