Cold

Cold

A Poem by insanity
"

Even the coldest of temperatures is no match for love.

"

The soft city lights

Reflected off your hair

The winter moon

Flashing across the water

Illuminating the dark

The effervescent glow

Surrounds your form

Captures your being

Here you’ll stay

In the safety of my arms

Free from the ignorance

Of the outside world

Here we’ll stay

Hidden away

Among the grassy fields

In the freezing cold

I need no heat

Nor sweaters

Nothing knit

And no cotton

For your love surrounds me

It fills my mind

It fills my heart

The passion, the purity

It is you

Silently sleeping

Blissfully unaware

Of the world around

You are beautiful

You are enigmatic

I can feel your warmth

My cold heart has melted
