WHEN I THINK OF THE MOON

WHEN I THINK OF THE MOON

A Poem by inuSarah

When I think of the moon
I think of you---

I think of how deeply brilliant you glow,
Sitting upon the placid sea on a cloudless night.

Yet, they say your light is borrowed.
But why it matters to me?

When it makes the night
More stunning than the brightest day.

When I think of the stars
I think of your eyes---

I think of how they twinkle,
Rhythmically sparkle in the darkness of evening;

More wonderful than sparkling snowflakes,
When kissed by the rays of the morning sun.

When I think of you
I think of the moon and the stars---

They give the night a splendid beauty
Leaving the windows of my soul in awe;

For in this world of darkness
You amused me by your revealing glow.
