She always thought she'd be ordinary and plain,
With brown curls and brown eyes,
Freckles on her face an one foot always in the way,
Awkward and gangly, on the swings everyday.
She always thought she'd always by very mundane.
Then she got older and grew up a bunch,
Walked to school and made her own lunch,
And she started to find she disagreed to much,
She picked fights to make her point clear,
Stood for her opinions, beliefs and the people she cared for so much.
She got older and learned so much more,
About love, about hurt, and about happiness,
and how far people will go for it.
She learned of anger, heart, and betrayal,
She learned of strength and calmness,
She learned of the rise and fall of amore.
Now she is stronger, taller and prouder,
With more knowledge and so much wiser.
Once, she thought she'd always be plain,
that there was no one plainer.
Now she is anything and everything but mundane.
