At the Breaking

At the Breaking

A Poem by Jeremy D. Andrews

Such rage I see inflamed therein

It eats the only thing to feed

Your anger now your humility later

The pain you feel should not be there

A heart so warm now grows cold

The fury burns so eagerly anew

One I know of is now faced with,

the self of sorrow before the rain.

Do not vent your emotion so long

To this heat of moment scorn

There belongs a humbled hand

to bring you back into your home

A place of peace for calming balm

Seek there now to let it all out

Your heart is shown laid bare not all

I hear thy pain of wretching strain

Mending words cannot do for all

For thy wounded heart but one

A cure abound to heal your heart

Reach to anothers heart so pure

A love in bloom the essence to view

Tidal wave washes the fires heat gone

Harmony balanced the chaos to order

Gentle caress to soothe thy soul

Your head on shoulder in tightness embrace

The beating of hearts resounds so near

Rythmic pumps ensnare the beast

tamed for now the rage is caged

It belongs to you for you to own

Remember next its fervor boils

These words give way for love to stay.
