Sunlight

Sunlight

A Poem by Matthew Paul

The destined rush of spring caresses life

Rebirth in surreal and abundant vibrancy.

What a time to live

Breezes blow a chill to sooth

Smiling morning sunlight, so gently kisses skin

Life is whole once again

Cyclic nature of beauty

The time for new to play

For guardians to protect

Lovers to love

For the wise to reflect

The bearers and the kin

The pride and the innocence

Eyeful of might, life in its splendor

The whispers and sighs of the moonlit nights

Joyful cries are heard from beside the river

Very well-written-- a high quality poem about this special time of year. "Whispers and sighs of moonlit nights"--now that's some inspired wording. Great job, Matthew

It is a pretty picture. The beauty and the joy of the words just spills over into little streams of hopefulness. There is wisdom and reflection. There is perception here that is unique to you. It is a lovely write.
