Falling

Falling

A Poem by Nicole Gurney

Standing at the edge of this very tall building…

I want you to push me.

Don't worry love,

For if you touch me,

I'll melt before I hit the bottom,

Only to be a puddle of blossoming affection

Falling has never felt so good

Never,

Has it ever,

Felt so addictive.

Attracted we are, and

Attracted we shall be.

Learning and giving

Giving and learning

What better way to fall?

Can you feel the rush?

Does the free fall

Fill you veins with bliss?

I fear that if my heart beats any faster,

It will burst,

Into flames of passion

Flames, that I hope ONLY you can feel.

The harder we love,

The faster we fall

The faster we fall,

The harder we hit

…rock bottom.

I do not fear the dreadful impact that awaits

Because I know you'll be there to catch me.
