Beneath the Midnight Moon

Beneath the Midnight Moon

A Poem by Jack...
"

Love after dark

"

Beneath the Midnight Moon

By Jack Ivey

O’ to gaze upon yon light

Of shimmering desire

Silhouettes a’ play this night

In shadows they retire

Here upon this hillside dream

We watch the great expanse

Far beneath the midnight moon

Doth bloom a found romance

As the silent valley sleeps

Lingering the skies

Reflections of a moonbeam kiss

Doth glow upon your eyes

O’ to spend this evening pure

Awash this precious view

Here beneath the midnight moon

My dreams do all come true

Thank you so much.
A perfect moon on a Medieval evening. It hastens the rhythms of the heart.
It's quite a lovely poem.

Thank you, I am ahhpy you enjoyed this.
Jack, Jack, Jack--why do you write a beautiful poem like this, perfectly punctuated, perfectly gramatical, and then use a phrase like "me and you"? I Poetic license is one thng, but this just grates. How about "Alone with just us two"? Or something better you can think up.
Ninety percent of the poets on here are bad to mediocre. You are in the somewhat good to excellent ten percent. Otherwise I wouldn't say anything.
