Time to flush away

Time to flush away

A Poem by Jack...
"

To you and you know who you are (and so do we)

"

Time to flush away

by jack

Are you who you say you are?

What should we believe?

Picking up these café crumbs

Trying to deceive

Changing names like underwear

Faces forged for free

Taking poets renderings

Nothing but a thief

Preying on the honest

Stalking of the young

Drooling like the troll you are

Speak with forked tongue

Jagged little fingers

Still you can not write

Staging every victim

Filling them with fright

Carving your existence

On another’s verse

Satan as a poet

Could not be much worse

We should slap your parents

For giving you a name

That you are afraid to use

Because you are ashamed

Nothing but a termite

Chewing up the wood

I hope your mouth has splinters

No, that would be too good

Why not pack a suitcase

Everything you own

Travel very far from here

Just leave us alone

Are you who you say you are

If so that is ok

If not, you’re just a piece of crap

Time to flush away

I believe hard not to repeat some words. I have study poetry in college and read all the master of poetry that I could. I tell the young people. Read the old timers like William Cowper, Richard Crashaw , Alexander Pope and John Milton. There are many other. They were the first word-men who used words and thoughts to open doors to thoughts and wonder. I don't get too excited when someone borrow a line or two from me. We learn from each other. To steal a complete poem is very wrong. I believe a writer's goal is to motivate another to think and write. A excellent poem. Few people have style that are hard to copy. I would love to be able to write like Dante and describe like George martin. Thank you.

A good poem and I understand your feelings. I myself look at this problem in more of a relaxed way, my poems are not copyright ( as are in a practical sense, no poems in the internet) I wrote a poem about it `Why I don`t care about Copyright `. So if anybody wants to steal my work, they may, I care about the ideas that I have, not about any recognition I will probably never receive in any case. But I understand where you are coming from...

Not really, just standing up in defense of those it has affected. Thanks so much.

Thanks to Tate for pointing me to this - and to you. Jack, for writing it so succintly. There are sad people out there, that we know. In fifty years of writing, I`ve not personally suffered directly, but I`ve heard from a couple of friends who have - one in print about twenty years ago. Overt felony is unusual, but almost inevitably on an open site like WC, there will be fruitcakes with no talent and even less integrity who will attempt to gain from other people`s efforts. I say attempt, because , ultimately. these parasites will be identified. P.

Thank you for reading. Tate fired me up and I wrote.
I really hate stealing and the reductive work of stealer. I wish they vanish for the sake of humanity. :) We burned nights and days just to do creative writing, it is not fair that our works will be duplicated and reproduced by others name. This is a great write Mr. Jack and I am with you. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for reading Marc
I have been reading about someone who has been plagiarising but haven't come across them yet. This piece, flowingly sets out the picture with a pinch of humour thrown in.

Wow...very powerful and full of intense emoton. Especially these lines:

Jagged little fingers
Still you can not write
Staging every victim
Filling them with fright

Carving your existence
On another’s verse
Satan as a poet
Could not be much worse

Great job with this write, I really enjoyed it =)

My pleasure =)
I am so happy to read this perfect sentiment! It is my understanding that a sickness has been infecting this wonderful site where so many incredibly talented people pen their spirits on to page. Ridiculous let us flush the crap where it goes...into the crapper.
Bravo Jack!

Thanks Veronica. It just had to be said, whether it does any good or not is doubtful.
This is a very strong statement.
You did a great job getting your feelings across in this piece.

Thanks so much but I'd rather have a P.B.&J sandwich. :)
I seem to be out of the world for a while... because I am quite surprised by this. Really? People stealing works here? That's very rude--writers write to share, but taking credit from another writer is just... sad.

I hope I too find out who's doing this... thanks for the information.
