In the magic that the dusk revealsA Poem by Jack...Love at twilight
In the magic that the dusk reveals As the sun begins its slow descent And the silhouetting of the trees Casts a shadow on the horizon The darkened outline of the leaves Twisted branches as they sway Preparing for a tranquil peace The closing to a hectic day Daylight now is soon to cease A sense of calm enshrouds the land The faintest red and orange glow Fading fast to westward plains And brand new days that need it so For now the twilight does exist Enchanting in its grand preview Of starry skies that light the night The moon is moist and in full view As fireflies arise in flight Providing dance of ember gold Stirring comes in slow recourse Under screens of darkness told For life complete does not suspend Sleep to end, not commence Shades of night fall softly still Adding to her free suspense Bewitching as the sounds present A choir mythical in realm To lull your eyes to focus true As nighttime starts to overwhelm Fear not my love, for you will see The darkness is a friend to all Its enchanting majesty Glorious as the nighttime falls Dusk is here, dusk is gone Standing, waiting for its chance In between the light and dark Setting sun for to enhance This is the time, for now is then When we would wait for life aloud To sit here in the land of love Watching as the evening shroud Makes its way across the sky Filters out the residue Of the day, the stress is gone For now I lay here next to you Smile for me so I may know The beauty that the night conceals For it is I who loves you so In the magic that the dusk reveals © 2013 Jack...
