Singing sweetly…to you

 

 

Pathways lead,

I follow with my eyes closed

Sleek and slender the wings

of painted treetop songs

counted in measures

of bliss

 

Sunsets adrift,

tangerine lyrics roll the horizon

as silent emotions endlessly call

in echoes of promise,

lingering in butterfly

dreams

 

Destinations wait,

distances of eastward thought

where cities come to meet,

and skylines form your melody,

in choruses of acapella

brush strokes

 

Harmonies abound,

played of satin stringed desires

ballads float on silhouettes, listen

For all of this is my heart

singing sweetly…

to you

What a lovely ballade, Jack. Beautiful, smooth - just perfect. I love the picture! I have a similar drawing I did about a year ago but different tattoo, and she's draped verses wearing a dress. One day, when I have time (which means probably years away!) I'm going to paint it and hang above my bed. :)

Thank you. You are too kind, Jack! I haven't painted in a long time. I actually sketched it out for an illustrator out of Indiana to paint for me, but through life issues and then a move, she kinda dropped the project. I decided to just have my hand at it myself when I manage a breather from the hectic pace of my own life :)

No it doesn't really, I have found painting to be not unlike poetry, you move you brush and paint what you feel.
