In the Garden

In the Garden

A Poem by Jack...
"

Butterflies and you, nothing more beautiful

"

In the garden

Mosaic on the background blue

Subtle as it takes to flight

Gentle breezes lead the path

Shifting quickly into sight

Patterns find this open field

Welcoming of long we missed

Drenched in every golden light

Truth upon our eyes now kissed

Kaleidoscope placed images

Change with but a tiny move

Frolicking within the flowers

Charming is this early view

Hypnotic dreams in tiny visions

Soothing as it saunters by

Like your love does mesmerize me

So to does this butterfly

Beauty finds this form and fashion

All of what I see in you

Before my eyes a sweet refresher

Showered by a love so true

It takes to wing, this garden creature

Flying off so ever free

Still the beauty it does linger

As long as you are here with me

This is a beautiful description of a beautiful creature! One superstition is that Spirits are released in the form of butterflies on the weekends so that they may visit their families. But a superstition is all it is...
Although I do see a lot of butterflies in the weekends!

Thank so much sweet butterfly.
As always, this was beautiful Jack. You have such a way with words, bringing out the beauty in each one. It was a refreshing read to start off my day. Thank you for that.

Thank you so much Raven. Your words are always like a spring day to me.
When I was very little, I used to believe that fairies lived in the flowers in my Gramma's garden. I think she told us that to keep us from picking her "babies"... I don't know what drew them, but there were always lots of butterflies to chase...
This poem takes me back to those days of innocence.
Thank you so much for making me young again, if only for a moment...

"Frolicking within the flowers" My favorite line. I just really liked this image. I liked this entire stanza.

"It takes to wing, this garden creature
Flying off so ever free
Still the beauty it does linger
As long as you are here with me"

Beautiful ending. I enjoy the sentiment and the images of the butterfly throughout the poem. Thank you for sharing.

Awwwah, who doesn't like butterflies?! They are absolutely beautiful, so full of amazing colours that just make it a gorgeous creature. I remember when I used to see one I would always chase after it, pretending I could fly with it. :P Haha, weird child. I saw this one butterfly like in your picture, it was a vibrant blue and so full of life!

I loved the images of "Mosaic on the background blue"
and "Kaleidoscope placed images"

Amazing job!!!! :D
