The Sweetest Music

The Sweetest Music

A Poem by Jack...
"

The song of love

"

The Sweetest Music

So sweet the sound of violins

In melodies of endless wing

A symphony of floating feathers

On quiet breeze of velvet strings

Enchanting so, this music playing

Tender as the night is new

Harmonic themes we now do capture

Moments forming of the view

Listen as their song does take us

Far away on heavens cloud

In flight beyond this pure sensation

On this evening we have found

Beneath a moon of crescent shining

Here as only we can be

A sonnet formed in heart beat fashion

Smooth it calls so tenderly

Take my hand and I will lead you

Over hills of distant dreams

Along a path of gently swaying

Choruses among the trees

As destiny did pen the lyrics

Words we sing in harmony

My heart does hear the sweetest music

Every night you’re here with me

Thank you so much my friend. We never know what or who we might hear if we don't listen.

I always wondered how so many folks in Bethlehem missed the angel choir...oh, what music was there!!
"As destiny did pen the lyrics"...wow, love that line, you won me over with the violins right from the start and just continued to woo me with you musical style Jack...felt myself swaying to this one, romantic interludes in the clouds, lovely.

That whole stanza is just the most beautiful thing. Breathtaking is the only word I have for your writing. You always supply such sweet words and beautiful meaning behind them. It's always a lovely time reading your work. Fantastic job :) thank you for sharing

Striking just the right chord with this tune, Jack. A lovely write!

Hmmm - it got me thinking - I've never had anyone play or sing me a song of their love to me... Guess that's not going to happen, the hubs is musically challenged and only slightly better at carrying a tune than his tone deaf wife! Ah, cest la vie... We can't have it all ;-)

haha - not like I'm going to be holding my breath! No worries... I think I'm good :)
I knew this wasn't about death metal from the first stanza. Lovely poem Jack. I've been writing silly lately now that your back I better shape up.

Sweet and melodious, like love itself.

"A sonnet formed in heart beat fashion..." This is an uplifting image - I am a sucker for a sonnet!
