Whispers in the distance

Whispers in the distance

A Poem by Jack...
"

whispering love to distant ears.

"

Whispers in the distance

Whispers in the distance

A wavering sort of sound

Sifting through the twilight

When no one is around

Simple in distinction

Comforting and free

Touching every treetop branch

Sent to you from me

Neath a starlight shining

Sunset on the mist

True in its affection

Upon your ears now kissed

Finding of its journey

Hope to call my own

Standing here this evening

My heart is not alone

Careful words are chosen

Thoughts provide the way

My imagination

Never more to stray

Phrases in the moonlight

Spoken steady pace

Heaven hears my promises

Made tonight, this place

Hear, for I have spoken

A sentence bold and true

The whispers in the distance

Say that I love you

Thanks so much my sweet friend.
I see a person strolling down a leafy lane as the sun sets, casting long shadows as it does so and in this twilight, tranquil, atmospheric setting, the voice of a lover drifts through the branches of the trees, as they listen intently in adulation!

I believe you see what I see Tom. Thanks so much.
You trully have a way with words Jack and you are a true romantic. A nice evenly toned and well presented peice that rolled effortlessly off the tongue. Imagery depicting long lost love entwinde with raw and deep emotion.

Thanks so very much Troy. Your comments make me smile
Your rhyme flows so effortlessly as to almost disguise the skill with which it was constructed. What a great piece, Jack.

Thanks Pryde, I love when you visit and leave such sweet words for me.
A dulcet beauty encompasses your words:

Phrases in the moonlight
Spoken steady pace
Heaven hears my promises
Made tonight, this place

The moon shines a bit brighter tonight Jack.

Please tell me you are smiling my good friend. Thank you so very much.
This reads like a lovely prayer Jack.

Neath a starlight shining
Sunset on the mist
True in its affection
Upon your ears now kissed

Love how your message is a kiss upon the ears to relish as a whisper sent across distant starlight. Always so romantic, always a sigh on the page.
