What the hell is Cabrito?

What the hell is Cabrito?

A Poem by Jack...

"

What the hell is Cabrito?

Somewhere behind the holographic goat image

plastered on the stucco façade of   “The Last Chance Cabrito Stand”

hides a wayward soul with lost lips and fevered brow,

attractive to some, but with a face only a second cousin could love

on an unrelated Eskimo’s side

Leaning on a metal container holding gallons of used brown paint,

he pulls a blade of grass from the parched earth and

finds the subliminal message extremely disheartening…

though he has no idea what it means

something to do with poetry an old Eddie Cantor movie

Tossing a stone at a plastic legless pink flamingo, (merely a wire holds the body upright)

this one time student of play-doh physics,

now lost in the dungeon of fiscal irresponsibility,

offers only apathy to any who might wander this same path

and his cardboard sign reads: “What the hell is Cabrito?”

Thanks so much Julie. I appreciate you stopping by today.
I would have never guessed that you were required to use all of those words, otherwise. Bizarre, yet entertaining.

Wow, for stringing THIS list together, I'd need a drink! And by the looks of that one flamingo, he's had one too many!

You've created a work of art, Jack!

Thank you so very much Kelly. It was tough trying to make something work.
Weirdly entertaining - I love the images, singularly bizarre! I have been looking at this list for an hour trying to string them together... I am impressed with what you came up with, Jack!

Ha! 'Will write terribly bad poetry for roasted baby goat tacos!' Loved where you took this strange piece, Jack. I know this had my brain lighting up in wierd places. Yours too, I see! Nicely done! Angi~

I like this experiment. Stuff like this gets us thinking outside of our sometimes too small boxes.

You are most welcome Jack. Sometimes it's hard not talking in rhyme, I do it all the time. See?
Absolutely delightful. Quite a little story you've created here!
Loved this:

this one time student of play-doh physics,
now lost in the dungeon of fiscal irresponsibility,
offers only apathy to any who might wander this same path

ok - bad poetry huh? I actually don't think its bad - it reminds me of watching a character talk - mid movie, cigarette in mouth - as though we've run up on a conversation.

Thanks so much Tammy.
Ha hate those pink plastic flamingos, my neighbor at the shore has them on her lawn and I want to take target practice with them, which has nothing to do with your crazy whacked out poem, well perhaps they're equally out there somewhere, very cool Jack...I'll have what you're having ;-)
