Windowsill Weepings

Windowsill Weepings

A Poem by Jack...

Windowsill Weepings

Draped as a curtain of silk disbelief

Tied back emotions lie still on the wall

Blocking the sunlight to pause in relief

Collections of dust form in spite of it all

Streaks hold the fingerprints bound of the day

Smeared in designs of a weakened refrain

Window sill weepings with nothing to say

Magnified teardrops add depth to the pane

Transparent wishes once hidden from view

Wait in the darkness this side of the dawn

Boarded up portals now moistened of dew

Nothing to see ever since you are gone

A great play on words. You always impress me with the way you rhyme. Great poem! :]

Thanks so very much Brittany.
Jack, this is a sad one, a real tear jerker for sure. The way you write, with so much heart, love and passion always shines through and adds that little extra magical dust to complete everything and combine it all to really get the readers feeling what you write.

I just cannot tell you how much this poem affected me, I loved these two lines especially, I think they said it all to be honest.

A really touching, divine poem.
