Lyrically Sound

A Poem by justincredible

Lord, where do I begin? I hope this poem is a start

It's a   poetic thesis to express what's inside of my heart

As I pray "Our father whose art in heaven "

I stand only a man asking for your guidance at 27

My muscles are strained,my hands are sweaty and I can't get a grip

My breathe is short "Please Lord help me "whispers from my lips

My heart is beating hard, but with a steady beat

I'm slipping but I will not lose hope or admit defeat

I know you're shinning down on me from the clouds

But lord the silence can seem so loud

My heart stained with the pain and the hurt of past years

But my cheeks are dry because, I cry no tears

The pain not seen is the worst of them all

Because no one knows to catch you when you fall

Even though my tears was inside

Time & time again you've given me a shoulder when I cried

When my dreams crashed and my pride was hurt

You soaked it all up like rain in the dirt

I know your word and my heart must go hand & hand

Lord you know I try but I fall short because I'm only a man

You seen the darkness consume me but still I wasn't taken

Because you looked in my heart and for that I wasn't forsaken

I thank you lord for everything coming to the light

Whoever reads this poem I pray Lord you bless them   tonight

I thank you Lord for the seed of my loins and a friend

I made you a promise and im loving my son to the end

You gave us all a promise you would never break

And signed it in blood when you're son was nailed to that stak
