She Lives as Trees so we can Breathe

She Lives as Trees so we can Breathe

A Poem by jaepeaceful
"

an ode to my friends the trees

"

A costume is worn in such a way

As to confuse the viewer of its’ contents.

I disrobe myself and lie prostrate before

The magnificence of you.

Colossal branch reach down and caress

My piny hair.

pull small objects from my eyes.

I’ve seen the truth. You are the fullness.

Fecund, your roots dig deep.

Return me to my innocent form; leave nothing untouched.

My salted brow furrows Inhaling

your earthly musk.

You are my salvation. The path toward

Ever-more-believe-in-me.

I could run my palm across your crackling conical skin

Forever just to pass the time of day.
