Reinvention

Reinvention

A Poem by wesleydaauthor

I need the entire world to listen, this is the reinvention

It’s time to release and let go

The past, everything about it I don’t want anything to remain

I need everyone to forget the old me and realize the person before them is one in the same

Anger and folly is in the distance

I see the presence of a presence, an apparition of everything former

Growing fast is the thing of yesterday

Being anti-social, I’ll save that for another day

Uncertainty, now that’s a gift I want to give for another

The pain of self-infliction that’s done, I atone

Being a lazy spirit that’s preposterous, the soul of a hardworker, now that’s sexy

Cocky, confident, and cautious, qualities that will be incorporated

Pain use to be my name, but as I allow tears to fall down the sky, symbolic to an emotional cry

I question everything and why I even try

My life is worth less than a bag of chips according to society

Those b******s, those crooks, liars, cheaters, thieves, that’s what they believe

I vow

I vow harder than a happily married man, the system’s fate I will defy

Dying with a life of emptiness

Dying faithfully unhappy

A person can’t accept that

A real man can’t respect that

To do that, I’ll never let that

Reinvention doesn’t happen very fast

It’s a possibility I will never last

To be better no matter the cost

I empty my coin purse and prepare to hit them where it hurts

To get a chance to do what I choose

The world can bluff me, but I will never lose
