The sound of silence
I hear it every day
I feel it all around me
it screams
you’re alone again today

The sound of silence
it hurts so very much
the ache shreds my angel heart
it whispers
no longer am I touched

The sound of silence
a raven screeching in my soul
incessant ramblings in the dark
it laughs
I’ll never be whole

The sound of silence
howls through the emptiness of my mind
each day more terrorizing
It haunts
I’ll be alone till the end of time
