It was a few lines

It was a few lines

A Poem by Janeyare

Wilted leaves
You fell asleep on my chest
I stroked your beard
We had a rhythm
My heart beat and your breathe
Withered roots
We found a path
It was hard to tread
Our melanin stopped us
But we never despaired
