For The Stafford Family

For The Stafford Family

A Poem by Jason Owens
"

This is a poem is for a dear friend who lost his brother.

"

I will not pretend to know the heartbreak you feel

While asking yourselves 'Can this be real?'

To the point of breaking, your life is bending

All the while the world keeps spinning.

A shattered mess it must be

With happiness too far to see.

But know, my friend, beyond this fight

Your world again will find a light.

That source of light and energy

Will be his loving memory.
