To Repel Her Tears by a Kiss…

To Repel Her Tears by a Kiss…

A Poem by Kenneth Stephen Goodpaster
"

A poem that expressed one who longs to love another.

"
From the world her face veils
Behind the asylum walls of her hands
As the dam of weeping river fails
Flooding into the most beautiful lands
Powerless to aid, my heart aches
To bear witness of her sorrow
As her happiness, life cruelly takes
To leave her no hope for morrow.
To drive away the tears by a kiss
Speaking gentle words or a fond song
To bring out a smile I so miss.
Remedies for I silently long,
As her heart belongs to another
That forces us to endure suffer.
