The Pianist

The Pianist

A Poem by Jasper
"

About one of those dreams that shows you something lovely...and leaves you so empty and disappointed when you wake up and realise its not real.

"

Taken by the hand

Watching life unfold through golden windows

Glazed with nostalgia

Shown what was, what is and what might

Playing the piano in youthful glory

Your slender fingers dance magically across the keys

You turn and smile that smile at me

Every moment we had

Every word passed between us

Every thought we had

All there in the depths of your eyes

I am home

Until I wake and my heart sinks

Until I picture your coffin so long ago

But for now I am home…
