The Wish

The Wish

A Poem by Jasper
"

Maybe everyones wish.....?

"

I have never known a person fit so well into my soul

To complete my being completely,

At last to make me whole.

To share a laugh like silly children,

Be at ease with no pretence,

Cry together, comfort and love,

Talk rubbish yet still talk sense.

To share dreams and aspirations,

A common goal to live this life

Not as man and wife,

But as kindred spirits, one true soul,

Not divided by the sharpest knife…

"Talk rubbish yet still talk sense." I like this line...

Reminds me of talking sweet talk, calling each other pet names that no one else understands; lovers little secrets. Yet, still be able to hold sensible conversations at the same time...

Enjoyable reading, thank you.

Aw, this was sweet. I like it because i'm weird about love poems but this was pretty and honest and not full of sickly-sweet guff and there are too many 'ands' in this sentence but i'm gushing so it's okay =].

Anyway, twas lovely. keep up the good work
