Days Eternal

About the enchantments of youth and love.

Days Eternal

Put me to sleep and I’ll regress to the past,

Where flowers bloomed and children laughed,

And rainbows followed beaten paths,

To meet at our baptismal baths,

Where I met her and time came last.

The countryside with hills so sweet,

And air that blew her hair too neat,

Sun’s rays with light and sacred heat,

Elysian Fields and farms of wheat,

Her face and smile, life’s complete.

And tomorrow when I will awake,

My heart and soul shall not shake,

Empty sky will come yet I won’t ache,

For in the sunrise I can’t mistake,

Her life, our love, which cannot break.
