People speak in different ways

Some speak with words

They use their voices to communicate what they think and feel

Others cannot, will not speak at all

They use their hands

A sort of dance with fingers and arms used to display how they live without sound

Some will speak through song

Manipulate the air around them with their vocal chords and create melodies and harmonies that fill the soul with joy

Or they use other instruments to do the same and create an army of sound that can bring someone to tears, tears of bliss or despair

Still others, speak through words as well, but instead they write words as characters on a page, rather than sounds organized into a language

They use these written words to tell stories

Some are long

Some are short

Some are happy, some are sad

Some are truthful, some are lies

In the world of written word, there is something called poetry

We speak by poetry

We use our words to tell our stories, or the stories of others

We weave them together with rhythms and rhyme

Some stories have rules, others do not
