WORDS FOREVER

WORDS FOREVER

A Poem by jeannemarie coulter

WORDS FOREVER
words,
all kinds of words
explode from this weary broken mind,
flood out across the environment,
rushing like burning lava...
creeks into streams,
becoming molten rivers
destroying whatever they touch
until they are spewed
into the sea rising in rainbow images of steam
sparkling into forever...

That is one very awesome picture, I must say! It goes very well with this poem, and makes it more atmospheric. As far as the poem goes, its filled with fine imagery, and I was able to easily visualize every line of it. Once it got to the line "rushing like burning lava...", that's when I think it really started to show off its dance moves, and boy were they spectacular(I'm not saying that the rest of the poem wasn't, I just thought those lines were spectacularly spectacular, rather than just spectacular). Your words, in this piece are quite magical. :)

Words.
The destroy and they build.
They win wars, lose battles.
What weapon more powerful than that of carefully chosen words.

the power of words lies in their ability to transcend time... once they are out they are there forever... well-done
