NAP TIME

NAP TIME

A Poem by jeannemarie coulter

NAP TIME
the sun is warm on the blanket
the smell of fresh mown grass dances on the breeze,
desiree has fallen asleep,
and i am planting flowers,
dead heading the roses and dahlias near-by,
listening to classic country gospel on my cd player,
singing along with all the ones i know by heart
while my darling baby is protected
by rolf, our mastiff, guard of our back-yard universe...
no one would dare disturb such a lovely dreamy day
it is wonderful,
all is at peace and right in our world
and i give thanks with my songs and labor
to god and earth mother...

great photo and poem, Jeannemarie... it's perfect that Rolf has her face shaded, making sure she is comfortable...

wow, what a great dog---and to be able to trust him with your baby like that...incredibly sweet.
