a Mystic candle
enamouring Fire
             is so light --

shimmering tenuously
lurching shadows
            and listening

intensely disinterested
neither attracted
             nor compelled --

only
waiting
with storms all around

This is a calm to this poem that is most compelling. The calm in the midst of troubles is what true calm is. Nothing can dampen it or destroy. That is what true inner peace is. What a wonderful poem to come to at the end of the day.

for minimalism this is still lush, beautiful writing with its own depth of tone and vibrance. Well done.
