Just Enough

If you were to ask me how much I love her
I'd say, "I love her just enough."

I love her just enough
That I'll keep loving her
'Til God calls me home

And I love her just enough
That my heart will still beat for her
Even in the after-life.

Short, but yet so full of passion and intimacy towards the one you love. The last stanza made me think awhile about what that really meant, and then I understood. If you are able to make the ultimate sacrifice for the one you love, then you are forever intertwined by hearts. Physically you may be gone, but memories last a lifetime. Hearts are big and strong, and able to withstand the biggest of blows so that your mind doesn't have to carry the burden of a lost loved one alone. Great poem.

Short but full of emotion. True soul mates continue to love each other even after their physical bodies have worn out and the souls have moved on. It's a rare thing to find but when you do, it truly is the greatest love of all. Nice write.
