Crossing the bridge

Crossing the bridge

A Poem by jemaral

Should I wait for time to tell?

Or should I ask fate to wish me well

Upon this act I am to take

A decision I will have to make

To tell you my heart’s desire

And put myself upon the fire

Thirst of passion I must quench

Even if I have to dive the deepest trench

Here is my heart to you i bare

I risk this friendship that we share

Though failure is my greatest fear

Its pain I am willing to bear

I love you, I know not why

But i will not let this moment pass me by

Failure may cause a pain i shall not forget

But I refuse to live my life in regret

“What if?” is a question I do not want to ask myselff

To be hiding my memories in some old shelf

To prevent this I must do what i can

So to you I confess my feelings as a man

Wow! I really enjoyed reading this. I love the use of the rhyming couplets! This too is well structured and seems to have had a lot of thought put into it. This is a beautiful piece of writing. Keep up the good work!
