Pete the Pop Eyed Poodle

Pete the Pop Eyed Poodle

Pete the Pop Eyed Poodle

Pete the Pop Eyed Poodle

Wouldn’t eat Irish stew

He’d chew on the rake

And eat chocolate cake.

He’d chew up the pegs

And bite table legs.

He’d demolish a comb

And the odd buried bone.

One day he ate a big pot of glue

And quickly swallowed a biscuit or two.

But eat Irish Stew? NO! never a bite

He’d just run away and shiver with fright

He would not return till his plate was all clean.

Without a trace of stew --- to be seen.

He’d eat almost anything – that’s very true,

Anything that it --- except Irish stew.

I am loving your children's poems. Don't know what that says about my mental age, but they are really enjoyable. NH
