seeing through you

trying to find the way out of this hell she's created

but she only falls deeper so she becomes intoxicated

she's terrified, fleeing with her eyes wide shut

where in hell is she

is everything so corrupt

the seducing sin grasps her soul

she's given up all she has yet she still owes the toll

she's a slave to her sin

she can't do it anymore - she gave in

she's so empty inside

there's no where left she can hide

so she indulges in the narcotics and the liquor

the only problem is she keeps getting sicker

she frantically cries out for help

somebody save me please

her spirit is weak, forced to it's knees

with a smile on her lips

excuses flow like reading scripts

convincing herself of a better tomorrow

silently drowning in her own sorrow

will she live or will she die

i'm through with asking why

so i can only sit back and pray

there's nothing more i can say

to make you understand and think a bit more

i'm reaching out for you...to touch your inner core

if you'd just open up your eyes

and do away with all of the lies

just reach out your hand

before you suffocate in the quick sand

don't give up on what can be

just wait and see

i promise you can trust me

I Love that,

It says so much in so few words -
this just shows again and again how inspiring another's view can be,
and so much more.

This section of the poem caught my attention best.
It reaches out to the point of old memories,
some good.....some not so good...
The conflicting choices / actions certain people are faced with
every day of their lives.....it's never easy...it's never right - nor wrong...

As confusing as one person's past [or present] can be - another may
somehow draw ever so closely to their story..
