A Sight Well Seen

A Sight Well Seen

A Poem by Written Wolf

Upon the timeless mountain top;

I found a gem that made me stop.

Within the mountains highest mound;

There is a treasure to be found.

It's beauty is beyond compare;

A better sight I know not where.

Hills of white;

Valleys of green.

A mist so light;

Hiding things unseen.

A pack breaks through the sentient trees;

The alfa is stopped by what he sees.

He stands there staring, expectingly, at me;

He stares at me so, I don't know what to be.

My mind thinks frightened;

But my joy is only heightened.

His coat is rustled in a cleansing wind;

And I let loose a wild grin.

The alfa's timeless eyes gleam;

A better experience then what it may seem.

He turns to leave me behind;

Thoughts are racing through my mind.

Upon the wind drifts a joyful cry;

A sound so wonderful I could fly.

I'm here to tell of my journey;

Of finding the path that brought me to my knee.
