Backstabbed

Backstabbed

A Poem by Written Wolf
"

Short and to the point

"

What is sticking in my back? You ask.

A Friendly Knife,

Why don't I pull it out?

Because,

Even as I pull he twists,

Rending my heart in two.

"and to the point." I get it! lol.

There's is nothing more painful then a friend that stabs one in the back. But you add a little humor in here.

Many people aren't aware that this saying actually comes from the Bible. Interesting, no?

Brief and right to the point, although the tone surprised me. Seems as though the stabbed enjoys the pain. If I were the stabbed, I would yank the knife out and plunge it deep within the sternum of the stabber...to hell with the love or lust! But that's just me. Interesting contrast when it comes to tonality.
