Princess

Princess

A Poem by jessicawrites

Princess

I wake below

Straight aurora rays

Under an African summer.
You, my princess,

Gently smile.

I fly above

The glaciers of Manila

Right beside Paris.

You, my princess,

Sweetly nod.

I watch the sun

Freeze over and wither,

And feel peonies

Grow out of my skin.

You, my princess,

Say nothing.

You are still the strangest thing.
